  • Texas reached a $225 million settlement with Teva Pharmaceuticals to resolve claims the drugmaker fueled an opioid epidemic in Texas by improperly marketing addictive pain medications. The settlement will provide needed resources to local law enforcement and the medical personnel who are fighting the opioid epidemic in Texas communities. Teva will also provide $75 million worth of the overdose medication Narcan. (Press release here; Article here)
