Providers
  • KFF published a synthesis of recent studies on the economic impact of Medicaid expansion on providers. Thirty-nine states plus Washington D.C. have adopted Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), with the federal government covering 90 percent of the cost and states 10 percent, while 11 states have not. According to the analysis, providers, including federally qualified health centers and community health centers, experienced increased revenue following Medicaid expansion. Additionally, hospitals experienced higher reimbursements and decreased uncompensated care costs. (Brief here)
