  • A new report from advocacy group Patient Rights Advocate indicates that most hospitals are not complying with the price transparency rule. Of the 1,000 surveyed facilities, 14 percent complied with the requirements. Thirty-eight percent, including the fully compliant group, posted at least sufficient price information, although some lacked data such as rates broken down by insurer and plan. More than 60 percent did not post sufficient rate information. A similar review conducted in July found 5.6 percent of surveyed hospitals were meeting the standard of the order, signaling that compliance is growing, albeit slowly. (Article here)
