  • Democratic leaders set new target dates for Congress to approve the bipartisan $550 billion infrastructure deal and the $3.5 trillion reconciliation package. Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave lawmakers until Halloween to strike a deal while Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer said he hopes to pass both pieces of legislation in the next month. Moderate Democrats say they’ll vote for infrastructure as a standalone bill, but progressives insist the bills are paired together.
