  • A group of 15 human rights organizations is pushing President Biden to ensure that an intellectual property waiver for COVID-19 vaccines is enacted at the World Trade Organization. In a letter, the group says that access to the shots remains limited in low-income countries and that “U.S. passivity” on the issue has stalled waiver talks. WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is pushing for a waiver deal at a global conference in Geneva next week. (Article here)
