  • A new report found that only 24.5 percent of the 2,000 hospitals studied were fully compliant with the federal Hospital Price Transparency Rule. Though the majority of hospitals have posted files, 75.5 percent of hospitals were deemed noncompliant because their files were incomplete, illegible, or did not have prices clearly associated with both payer and plan. The number of complaint hospitals increased by 170 (8.5 percent) since August 2022. The findings come as Congress has expressed bipartisan concern over compliance with the Trump administration rule and potential interest in legislating on the topic. (Report here; Article here)
