  • The mediator for the Purdue Pharma bankruptcy settlement case reported that the Sackler family is willing to pay at least $1.2 million more to settle the case. According to a third interim report filed on Friday, the family proposed to pay between $5.5 million and $6 million for the case, up from the $4.3 million listed in the original bankruptcy settlement. The mediator also requested a further extension, which Bankruptcy Judge Robert Drain agreed to because “the progress made to date in reaching an agreement that would result in such substantial additional consideration clearly warrants the requested extension.” (Article here)
