  • Juul Labs Inc. has started informal discussions on debtor-in-possession financing for a potential Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) banned Juul products on U.S. shelves in June and the company has faced a number of lawsuits. Last month, the company struck a deal in which it will pay out $438.5 million across 33 states. According to a Juul spokesperson, preparations are not final and Juul is still considering other paths.
