- Centene’s CFO told inventors that the company will evaluate proposals from pharmacy benefits companies next year to manage the health insurer’s $30 billion per year drug spend. In 2018, Centene fired CVS Caremark as its PBM and shifted the drug purchasing functions to its own PBMs, RxAdvance and Envolve.
