  • Moderna Inc. said it will ask regulators to authorize its COVID-19 vaccine for children between 6 months and 6 years old. The drugmaker said that two clinical trials showed the shot generated a similar immune response as among young adults, though it was less effective at preventing symptomatic illness than vaccines in previous trials. If the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clears the shot, it would become the country’s first COVID-19 vaccine available for children in that age group. (Article here)
