Mental Health
  • America’s Health Insurance Plans released a survey indicating that 73 percent of insured Americans said that getting mental health care was easy. The survey polled 500 insured Americans who have sought professional mental health care for themselves or for someone in their household over the last two years. Thirty-eight percent said it took about a week or two to find a mental health care provider, while 47 percent said it took one to three months. Seventy-six percent said health insurance companies have a big responsibility to improve the quality, affordability, and access to mental and behavioral health services. (Report here)
