- President Joe Biden will call on the country to reduce the cancer death rate by half within 25 years when he announces the revived Cancer Moonshot program today. The new program will create a White House “Cancer Cabinet” with the goal of shoring up cancer screening and prevention; narrowing racial disparities in cancer outcomes; and improving the experiences of patients, survivors, and caregivers.
