  • A new Kaiser Family Foundation poll revealed that 83 percent of the public favors allowing the government to negotiate lower drug prices for Medicare and private insurance plans. Ninety-three percent of respondents agreed that even if the prices were lower drugmakers would still make enough money to fund new products. Only 6 percent agreed with the statement that drug companies need to charge high prices to fund new drug research. (Poll here; Articles here and here)
