  • A New York Times (NYT) review of federal lawsuits and investigations found that insurers have been using lucrative strategies to get more money from Medicare Advantage (MA) program than they may legally be due. According to the review, eight of the 10 largest MA insurers have been accused of submitting inflated bills while four of the five largest MA insurers have faced federal lawsuits for overbilling. Most of the insurers the NYT contacted disputed the allegations and called the federal audits flawed. (Article here)
