  • Walmart Inc. has agreed to pay $3.1 billion to settle lawsuits brought by states, cities, and Native American tribes over its role in the opioid crisis. However, the company did not admit liability. Walmart’s agreement follows settlements earlier this month from CVS Health Corp. and Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc., both of which agreed to pay about $5 billion each. (Articles here, here, and here)
