- Open enrollment for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace on HealthCare.gov begins today. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), 4 out of 5 of Americans who sign up will be able to find plans for $10 per month or less after accounting for the subsidies. The enhanced subsidies were set to expire at the end of the year, but Democrats successfully passed a three-year extension of enhanced subsidies as part of the Inflation Reduction Act.
