- The Supreme Court plans to strike down Roe v. Wade, according to an early draft majority opinion obtained yesterday by Politico. The opinion, written by Justice Samuel Alito, states the 1973 ruling “was egregiously wrong from the start.” The high court’s decision won’t be finalized until it’s published in the coming months, but it would trigger a wave of state-level abortion bans and restrictions. Also yesterday, Amazon.com Inc told its staff it will pay up to $4,000 in travel expenses annually for non-life-threatening medical treatments including abortions, according to a message seen by Reuters.
