- Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s office announced that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved the state’s plan to expand Medicaid coverage for new mothers for up to a year postpartum. The program expansion is budgeted for an additional $20 million and is estimated to benefit 35,000 pregnant and postpartum residents annually. (Article here)
