  • Kaufman Hall’s latest National Hospital Flash Report revealed that the nation’s hospitals experienced a second consecutive month of negative operating margins in February. The firm noted that most volume metrics were down month over month in February, except for operating room minutes, which increased 6.5 percent. Patient days dropped to 13.3 percent, adjusted patient days dipped 7.6 percent, average length of stays declined 5.3 percent, and adjusted discharges fell by 0.6 percent. (Report here)
