  • The House Oversight and Reform Committee asked the Justice and Treasury departments to review tax deductions claimed by four drug companies that agreed to a $26 billion settlement to end lawsuits tied to the opioid crisis. Lawmakers said the companies may be trying to “put taxpayers on the hook for billions of dollars in settlement costs” by claiming tax breaks for the deal. (Article here)
