  • A large new dataset indicates that Pfizer Inc.-BioNTech SE’s COVID-19 vaccine is much less effective for children ages 5 to 11 than it is for older people. According to researchers and federal officials who reviewed the data, the drop in performance may be because children receive a lower dose than adolescents and adults. Pfizer’s shot is the only vaccine authorized for young children in the United States. (Articles here and here)
