  • According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the U.S. has waster more than 82 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines since the onset of the pandemic. The new figure translates to approximately 11 percent of doses distributed by the federal government being discarded. Collectively, CVS and Walmart were responsible for more than 25 percent of the doses that went to waste. Oklahoma and Alaska both threw away more than a quarter of the doses they received at 28 and 27 percent, respectively. (Articles here and here)
