  • An investigation conducted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) found that roughly two-thirds of more than 600 biomedical research institutions had violated at least one disclosure agreement The HHS OIG said that the National Institutes of Health should shore up oversight of federal grantees whose medical research receives overseas support. While it’s not uncommon to receive foreign funding for research, federal health investigators said the lack of disclosures “raised concerns about threats to the integrity of NIH supported research.” (Article here)
