  • An estimated 13 million individuals purchasing health coverage on an Affordable Care Act (ACA) exchange could see their premiums jump by an average of 50 percent next year if Congress doesn’t extend enhanced premium subsidies. The American Rescue Plan Act removed the income cap for eligibility and limited the amount that anyone pays for premiums to 8.5 percent of their income. Unless Congress acts, only people with household income from 100 percent to 400 percent of the federal poverty level will once again qualify for subsidies. (Article here)
