  • An amendment to the Senate’s latest FDA user fee proposal calls on infant formula manufacturers to notify the agency within five business days of a disruption to their supply chain, an attempt to better guard against future formula shortages. The amendment stipulates that the Government Accountability Office would deliver a report on how the FDA’s Division of Executive Operations handles complaints and other communications it receives from outside the agency. Lawmakers aim to finalize before the current user fee authorization expires on September 30. (Article here)
