  • A federal district court judge today will hear a case examining the constitutionality of an ACA provision that requires insurers to cover preventive services such as cancer screenings, immunizations, and contraception. If Judge Reed O’Connor sides with the plaintiffs, the ACA’s preventive services requirement would become voluntary, and insurers could either drop coverage of these services altogether or start charging enrollees for them. O’Connor is the same judge who previously ruled that the ACA is unconstitutional and should be struck down. (Article here)
