- The Biden Administration announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will restore health care nondiscrimination rules on gender identity and sexual orientation. The regulations will reinstate Affordable Care Act (ACA) nondiscrimination requirements for providers, payers, and other federal health program groups; issue new protections that ensure access to care for members of the LGBTQ community; and label Medicare Part B as federal financial assistance.
