- Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden vowed that Democrats intend to protect Medicare drug price negotiation measures passed last year as part of the Inflation Reduction Act and that the pharmaceutical industry is targeting. Wyden said during an event that pharmaceutical companies are attempting to “water down” certain consumer protections , but he said Democrats are not interested in changing any provisions.
