  • Representative Donald Norcross and Senator Ed Markey announced legislation Monday that would expand access to opioid medication. The Opioid Treatment Access Act targets restrictions on methadone. The bill specifically would make the easing of restrictions approved during the COVID-19 pandemic permanent, allowing some opioid users in treatment to continue to get methadone prescriptions from pharmacies to take at home.
