- A study in the journal Nature Climate Change found that 58 percent of the known 375 human infectious diseases are worsened by one of the 10 types of extreme weather linked to climate change. The researchers also found that 223 of 286 unique sicknesses seemed to be exacerbated by climate hazards. (Article here)
