  • The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced another $20 million in grants to improve maternal and infant health. The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) will distribute the funding to four programs: 1) State-led Maternal Health Innovation ($9 million to nine grantees), Improving Maternal Care in Rural Communities ($4 million to four awardees), Increasing Access to Community-based Doulas (approximately $3 million to 19 Healthy Start programs), and Addressing Infant Mortality ($4.5 million to 9 grantees).
