  • West Virginia announced it finalized a settlement with Johnson & Johnson’s subsidiary Janssen Pharmaceuticals Inc. over the drugmaker’s role in perpetuating the state’s opioid crisis. According to Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, the $99 million settlement is the largest in the country per capita with Janssen. The money will be used to help communities combat the opioid crisis. The state’s trial against Teva and Allergan is continuing as scheduled. (Articles here and here)
