- The Senate Finance Committee released a report urging the Biden administration to crack down on deceptive Medicare Advantage (MA) marketing. The committee began collecting information on MA marketing complaints from 14 states in August. Their investigation revealed that plans made inaccurate claims about provider networks and sent mailers made to look like federal documents. The report called for the administration to monitor why people leave MA plans and hold bad actors accountable. Starting next year, the federal government will require TV ads for MA plans to go through a more extensive approval process. (Article here)
