Access & Coverage
  • The Urban Institute released a new policy brief revealing that 62 percent of Medicaid recipients are unaware that states will redetermine their Medicaid eligibility when the COVID-19 public health emergency ends. Approximately one-third (30.6 percent) of respondents said they received information about the upcoming change from a state agency; another 24.6 percent heard from a health plan. Of those, 21.3 percent were told how to get assistance with the renewal process and 29 percent were informed of the coverage options available to them if they become ineligible for Medicaid.
