- Advocate Aurora Health announced it will merge with Atrium Health to form the sixth largest health system in the country. The combined organization will serve more than 5 million patients and have 67 hospitals across seven states: Illinois, Wisconsin, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama. The health system will be called Advocate Health and have headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a strong presence in Chicago and Milwaukee. (Press release here; Articles here and here)
