  • Apple published a report outlining its contributions to “science-based technology” and health care. The 60-page report states that the company is increasing access to health data, which is helping patients and providers share medical information and support clinical research. As of this month, Apple is collaborating with a several institutions on heart studies, including the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the National Institute of Health, the American Heart Association, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Later versions of the Apple Watch will add women’s health capabilities, as well as monitoring for body temperature, glucose levels, and blood pressure. (Press release here)
