Payers
  • The CMS issued a notice announcing that health insurers won’t be required to implement new rules intended to speed up their data-sharing efforts until the agency establishes a standard way to share the data. The rules were set to take effect January 1, 2022. The notice concerns the payer-to-payer information exchange provisions of a May 2020 interoperability final rule, which is intended to push providers and insurers to improve the flow of information through the health-care system.
