  • The Supreme Court’s conservative majority signaled that it will uphold a Mississippi law banning abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy. The state’s 2018 law contains abortion restrictions contrary to precedent set in the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. Chief Justice John Roberts suggested a middle ground position that would uphold the Mississippi law but stop short of entirely ending the right to abortion access nationwide.
