- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed that the mask mandate for public transportation in the U.S. has been extended until May 3. The CDC said the order, which was set to expire on April 18, will remain in place to allow the agency to “assess the potential impact the rise of cases has on severe disease, including hospitalizations and deaths, and health care system capacity.” (Articles here, here, and here)
