Third Horizon Strategies’ commitment to driving positive change is integral to the fabric of our organization. Guided by our core values and a profound sense of responsibility, we are relentless in embracing the transformative potential of our business. Over our five-and-a-half years of existence, we have strategically approached our growth and sustainability to align with individuals and organizations that share our values. As we close out 2023, we take tremendous pride in the expansion of our team, which now comprises 23 employees and several strategic advisors and contractors who continue to enhance our collective efforts to support our clients and partners.

In 2023, Third Horizon Strategies (THS) began curating and sharing stories of our endeavors to make a positive impact.  Our impact reports initiative provides qualitative documentation of our efforts, capturing the core of the positive transformations we strive to accomplish. From spotlighting our vision for transparent health care costs to enhancing services at Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC), we have demonstrated how our services and activities are consistently in pursuit of innovative approaches in collaboration with clients and partners.

Apart from our consulting services, we are aware of our unique position in the industry and utilize our influence and convening power to bring together thought leaders, experts, and stakeholders for meaningful discussions on societal and health care challenges. This collaborative approach extends nationally with the Alliance for Addiction Payment Reform and locally with the stewardship of the Health Care Council of Chicago (HC3). THS team members actively engage beyond our immediate scope, representing THS at conferences and events in various communities and markets. They contribute by sharing best practices and taking a leading role in discussions focused on addressing urgent community issues across different platforms.

The firm’s dedication to corporate social responsibility (CSR) in our business practices is rooted in aligning our core values, reflecting a conscientious approach that integrates profit with positive social impact. Beyond being a mere strategy, integrating CSR is a fundamental aspect of responsible and sustainable business that resonates with our organizational ethos. As such, individual THS team members regularly participate in volunteerism and philanthropy within their local markets. Through our community investment program, we encourage engagement and support of social and health care service agencies dedicated to healthcare access, behavioral health services, and socioeconomic assistance.

As we look towards the future, THS is poised to continue playing a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of health care and social services. Our journey thus far has been a remarkable blend of growth, innovation, and social impact. Our story is one of a relentless pursuit of excellence, not only in the services we provide but also in the positive changes we foster in the community.

In 2024, our Impact Report will offer detailed updates and insights into our client’s progress and various initiatives. This will include our cooperative efforts in supporting state-wide integrated opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment and recovery services in Indiana, our partnership in establishing a new foster care facility in Chicago, our continued commitment and innovative solutions to ensure equitable price transparency in health care, and the evolution of our comprehensive strategies to enhance corporate well-being through both internal and external collaborations. As we move into 2024, we are reinvigorated with a renewed sense of purpose, eager to tackle new challenges and embrace opportunities that will enable us to create a more significant impact in the future.
