  • Some hospitals are attempting to raise prices by up to 15 percent in an effort to offset mounting costs for nurse salaries. According to employers and insurers, the requests are more than the 4 percent to 6 percent price increases that hospitals typically seek and would likely result in higher premiums for employers and workers. As such, insurer and employer groups are rejecting the requests, saying that the priciest hospitals can absorb higher labor costs without raising their rates. (Article here)
