  • The FDA is getting closer to authorizing Novavax Inc.’s COVID-19 vaccine after the company said it fixed production issues that delayed its application. However, U.S. clearance for the protein-based shot is still a ways off given the FDA must review a lot of data from several countries. Regulators in other countries have authorized Novavax’s vaccine. Health experts hope that offering a protein-based vaccine will help convince those who are wary of mRNA shots to get vaccinated. (Article here)
