  • UnitedHealthcare announced Friday it plans to stop charging fully insured members a co-pay for insulin. UnitedHealth Group CEO Andrew Witty said on an earnings call that the timing of the move — which also includes cutting co-pays for other critical medicines like epinephrine — made sense in light of record inflation. It will also help ensure that the company’s fully-insured members take insulin, which could help lower financial risk. (Press release here)
