- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested that more federal pandemic relief could be included in a government funding package. According to Pelosi, the “opportunity” and “challenge” are there but that the White House has not formally asked for more money. Congress will need to pass a bill to fund the government before a stopgap measure expires February 18, and Pelosi said extra funding “can be fenced off for emergency, as would be Covid.” (Article here)
