- Only half of the 500 million COVID-19 tests that the White House made available to the public for free have been claimed. According to federal officials, 46 percent of tests have yet to be claimed and daily orders are down from 45 million the day the initiative launched in January to 100,000. The Biden administration intends to keep the program in place as part of a flexible testing strategy to accommodate surges in demand in the future. (Article here)
