Andy Wilson

Senior Director

Andy is a health services researcher with over a decade of experience using analytics to drive meaningful change in health care. He has extensive experience in episodes of care, health care reimbursement and pricing, claims analysis, alternative payment model design and implementation, risk adjustment, financial modeling, and quality and performance measurement. 

As a senior director at Third Horizon Strategies (THS), Andy leads key consulting projects and various functions relating to alternative payment models, health care pricing, and data analytics. Prior to joining THS, Andy served as Vice President of Episode Analytics at Signify Health where he led the development of methodologies and processes that supported the company’s commercial episodes of care programs, including provider target pricing, risk adjustment, provider attribution, quality measurement, provider and operational performance assessment, and program evaluation.  Before that, he was Research Leader at the Health Care Incentives Improvement Institute where he was part of the team that developed the Prometheus Analytics episode grouper.

Andy holds a PhD in health services research from the Heller School of Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University and a Master of Public Health from the Tufts University School of Medicine.

A few fun facts about Andy…

Three items Andy would take to a desert island include a fly rod (his favorite hobby is fly fishing), a fully loaded iPod, and the Lyndon Johnson Biographies by Robert Caro. His favorite place to travel is Scandinavia, but for a weekend getaway he prefers Portland, ME or Burlington, VT. A 1980s version of Tom Cruise would play Andy in a movie.
