- The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that it is limiting the authorization for the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 to adults age 18 and older who cannot or will not get the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. The agency said it was making the change because of the risk of a rare and dangerous clotting condition called thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS) after receiving the vaccine.
