  • Beginning next year, pharmaceutical companies must repay Medicare for any injectable and infused drugs that come in single-dose vials and go unused, in a bid to cut down on the billions of dollars that are wasted every year on discarded drugs. Drug companies that don’t comply with the rule will be fined 25 percent of what they were supposed to refund Medicare, the federal government said. (Article here)
