  • Senate Democrats are seeking $21 billion in new emergency spending on COVID-19 as well as preparedness measures for additional outbreaks, including monkeypox. The bill would appropriate $16 billion for a key Health and Human Services program to be used in the fight against COVID-19 via tests, vaccines, supplies, and research on current and future strains. Another $5 billion would support other countries in their pandemic battle. (Article here)
