Providers
  • New York state filed a lawsuit against CVS Health Corp for allegedly forcing safety net hospitals to pay millions of dollars to access discounted prescription drugs, violating state antitrust law. According to the lawsuit, CVS forced New York safety net providers to exclusively use Wellpartner, a CVS subsidiary, to process and obtain federal subsidies on prescriptions filled at CVS pharmacies. The policy prevented providers from accessing federal funding that could have been used to improve and expand patient care, forcing them to incur millions in added costs.
